I have been married to my wife Carol for 32 years. She is a Registered Dental Hygienist with Ascend Dental and has been with them for over 25 years. We are both from Iowa and have two boys who were born and raised in Springfield. Our youngest son Connor is a Senior at MSU and will be student-teaching in the fall of 2019. Taylor graduated from the Engineering Department at The University of Science and Technology in Rolla, MO. He is employed as a Geological Engineer in Ohio.
I am a member of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks' Professional Advisors Council. I completed my studies in December of 2013 and received the ChFC ® designation known as Chartered Financial Consultant ® in February of 2014. As a Chartered Financial Consultant ®, I pledge that in all of my professional relationships I shall, in light of all conditions surrounding those I serve, which I shall make every conscientious effort to ascertain and understand, render that service which, in the same circumstances, I would apply to myself.
My studies for the RICP ® designation equipped me with the knowledge to effectively manage the transition from asset accumulation during a client’s working years to asset decumulation in retirement. The RICP ® coursework enables me to deliver smart strategies aiming to create secure, sustainable income for a client's retirement. Without proper retirement income planning, individuals have no roadmap to guide them through the retirement years with a steady, lasting source of income to replace salaries and supplement social security.
I have over 35 years of industry experience and the broad knowledge to assist individuals and business owners on many of the most important financial decisions they will make for themselves, their families, their businesses and employees.
My outside interests include traveling, running, golfing, fishing and gardening. I enjoy memberships in the Knights of Columbus and the Heart of the Ozarks Sertoma Club. I have been actively involved with The Knights Striking Out For The Kitchen Bowlathon for over 20 years. I am a past President and past Chairman of the Heart of the Ozarks Sertoma Club. I am a proud supporter of the Springfield Boys and Girls Club. I feel being involved with these organizations allows me to give back to our community and help kids and families at risk in our community.
